Andrézinho Macedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Fazendinha's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Fazendinha's corner Andrézinho Macedo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fodor Daniel quite easily take care of the ball. In the 8th minute Balazs Lajos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Balazs Lajos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, Luiz Guilherme Melo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fodor Daniel, 1-0. Maximino Acevedo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. 65 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Cristóvão de Barros came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavino Guter's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Guter helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Hungary booed when Fazendinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavino Guter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Fazendinha were victorious despite being under pressure from Hungary for much of the match.
