Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 3rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yu Guang Chen in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pablo-Enrique Scholes. Dário Tepedino didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 17th minute of play. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dário Tepedino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dário Tepedino was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dário Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 35th minute of play. Barreal FC's Dário Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 36th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dário Tepedino was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.
The wind increased when Ben-Ami Gol made the kick off in the second half. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. Yu Guang Chen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dário Tepedino. Dário Tepedino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Efrain Lope in the 68th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Barreal FC's Yu Guang Chen in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. Dário Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo-Enrique Scholes in the 73rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben-Ami Gol in the 78th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adelino Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute, Adelino Corrêa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barreal FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 85 minutes, Sebastian Sayvion mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barreal FC and the Netherlands players grew even worse after the yellow card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Barreal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 89th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Barreal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Dário Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
