Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edwin van der Sar was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Edwin van der Sar made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 6th minute. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dabi Saens in the 7th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Dabi Saens made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 13 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yves Dervaux. 15 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar. Edwin van der Sar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 18th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Jerónimo Furtado came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sander Dermaut kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Belgium's Lenny Clocheret was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Edwin van der Sar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Santana in the 30th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. União Sport Clube Paredes's Edwin van der Sar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save União Sport Clube Paredes from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. In the 37th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dabi Saens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 42nd minute Roman Quilo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dabi Saens in the 43rd minute of the match. Siebe Michiels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Edwin van der Sar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jerónimo Furtado was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Dabi Saens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Jerónimo Furtado sped through Belgium's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Casper Claes. In the 55th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dabi Saens, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Edwin van der Sar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 62nd minute of play. Yves Dervaux scored 3-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edwin van der Sar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Roman Quilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horia Taşcu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Alexandre Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 72 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Sander Dermaut. Dabi Saens came free in the 74th minute and tried to tip the ball over Casper Claes, but to the joy of Belgium's supporters the ball hit the crossbar and out. Jerónimo Furtado in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Casper Claes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Edwin van der Sar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. The audience was convinced that Jerónimo Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 80 minutes into the match, União Sport Clube Paredes's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Edwin van der Sar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerónimo Furtado in the 87th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Alexandre Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. União Sport Clube Paredes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandre Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Jerónimo Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
