Claudio Caniggia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 17th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Khalid Kennedy. England's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Petroni in the 19th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emiliano Furia in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Manfred Konradsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khalid Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Wiklund having to interfere. Khalid Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ettore Petroni, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfred Konradsson in the 41st minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, England was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Gallagher to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Khalid Kennedy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 62 minutes into the game, Ettore Petroni recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Khalid Kennedy. Ettore Petroni showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Oscar Stuijvenberg fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lemel SV's protests and gave Oscar Stuijvenberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 81 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Stuijvenberg. If Issac Dawson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Emiliano Furia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Furia in the 93rd minute of the match. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by England's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. João Augusto Mello was slow to take the kick. During this time Lemel SV's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that João Augusto Mello got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Khalid Kennedy quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lemel SV played a much better game than England and deserved their victory. The England players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
