Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudemiro Tristão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 7 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Alexandre Eanes who took care of the corner kick. GD Almargense's Alexandre Eanes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Casper Claes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 10th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudemiro Tristão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudemiro Tristão prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24thth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GD Almargense's Claudemiro Tristão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Claudemiro Tristão didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edward Vanderstraeten went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in GD Almargense's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudemiro Tristão came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Belgium booed when GD Almargense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Eanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Claudemiro Tristão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute, GD Almargense got a penalty, and Celso Eiró placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Eiró in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Yves Dervaux made the kick off in the second half. Benedito Rebelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to GD Almargense getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alexandre Eanes hit a great ball. GD Almargense made a substitution. Zarco Patrício replaced Adérito Pinheiro. GD Almargense's Carlos Vides was substituted for Benedito Rebelo. In the 69th minute, Alexandre Eanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Lenny Clocheret hit a great ball. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Vides in the 76th minute of play. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Vides, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Vides in the 78th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nigel Devos hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Lenny Clocheret got a free kick in the 95th minute. GD Almargense succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Belgium had controlled the match.
