The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Claris Quiroga hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, Ştefan Negrilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. UD Fuerteventura's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belgium the free kick. A collision led to UD Fuerteventura getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Ştefan Negrilă hit a great ball. In the 8th match minute, UD Fuerteventura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arkadiusz Piatek to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, UD Fuerteventura's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Bernardo Vazquez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 17th minute of play forced UD Fuerteventura's goalkeeper Bernardo Vazquez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Geovani Barral came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the UD Fuerteventura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geovani Barral couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Belgium booed when UD Fuerteventura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Negrilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to UD Fuerteventura getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Ştefan Negrilă hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Vazquez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Platon Dorado in the 35th minute of the match. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geovani Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Belgium booed when UD Fuerteventura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claris Quiroga didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claris Quiroga to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Barral came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Vazquez made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Geovani Barral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Casper Claes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geovani Barral in the 70th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Claris Quiroga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Claris Quiroga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Vazquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 76th minute. Casper Claes came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Fuerteventura's Geovani Barral. But to his dismay, Geovani Barral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. UD Fuerteventura's Ismael Munoz was substituted for Basilio Quintero. In the 84th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Platon Dorado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UD Fuerteventura's goalie prevented a goal.
