Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Frank Sachs made the kick off which started today's match. Frank Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Sachs's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. Tamboril's Waldir Cearense got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Germano Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 13th match minute, Tamboril was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Penha to maneuver through the defense. Tamboril were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Christiano Freitas took the corner. After taking down the ball on Tamboril's corner Frederico Gonçalves fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tommy Kahn quite easily take care of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Albin Holweck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frank Netto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Frank Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Frank Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. A throw-in in the 28th minute of the game was made by Cristian Teles with Loïc Duprey as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Germano Penha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldir Cearense got free with Tommy Kahn in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Waldir Cearense sent off a good shot on target. Germany made a substitution. Rolf Rothberg replaced Albin Holweck. Nilton Neiva hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waldir Cearense to strike the kick off in the second half. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Germano Penha in the 51st minute of play. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 56 minutes, Waldir Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamboril's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldir Cearense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the match, Tamboril's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Frank Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Waldir Cearense made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rd minute Waldir Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
