After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 32nd minute of play forced Zonguldak Kömürspor's goalkeeper 尹亮冰 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner David Eikelkamp fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and 尹亮冰 quite easily take care of the ball. 36 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Botero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 尹亮冰. 尹亮冰 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 46th minute, Zonguldak Kömürspor's Rodrigo Botero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3.

After having played for 51 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zonguldak Kömürspor's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of Zonguldak Kömürspor booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bas Tuitert didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 尹亮冰. The goal made the score 2-4. After 63 played minutes Zonguldak Kömürspor got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Korkut Yalman. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but 尹亮冰 firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 66th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Zonguldak Kömürspor's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 尹亮冰 made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 70th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 尹亮冰 having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 傅升剑 in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mathijn Doctor during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a little luck, Zonguldak Kömürspor's 尹亮冰 got control of the ball when David Eikelkamp tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 83rd minute by Wim Wilmes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. 尹亮冰 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave Kees Mooiweer a yellow card for diving instead. After 96 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Kees Mooiweer. In the 97th minute, 傅升剑 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
