Ceyhan Celvet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Eyague read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Golden Dragón F.C's Hilario Pesquera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Savion in the 12th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Golden Dragón F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Savion came free, but Hilario Pesquera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ceyhan Celvet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fulgencio Eyague having to make a save.
