Dedé Alves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Laurențiu Cinteză put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Casper Claes. Dedé Alves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 46th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Lucian Covataru made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Casper Claes managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when UFC Mahmudie's Laurențiu Cinteză fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laurențiu Cinteză in the 54th minute. After 64 minutes UFC Mahmudie's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. 67 minutes into the match, UFC Mahmudie's goal looked a bit too open when Siebe Michiels came free, but Dedé Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Belgium booed when UFC Mahmudie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nichifor Arșanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nichifor Arșanu kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute of the match, Sorin Vârjean got a very nice opportunity to score, but Casper Claes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
