Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cristian Anastasiu tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Dedé Alves. An unnecessary self made goal, 0-3 in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucian Covataru to make the kick off. Gelu Dragomir made a great header on UFC Mahmudie's corner, it was just that Belgium's Casper Claes managed to reach the ball for a save.
