Timo Siegmund hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Jacinto Maurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Cemal Bekdil. But to his dismay, Cemal Bekdil quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samsunspor's goalkeeper Yavuzalp Sağanalp, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fridolin Neumeister hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 37 minutes Switzerland's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Seyrani İklim who took care of the corner kick. Samsunspor's Seyrani İklim was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hias Nüssli in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 42 minutes into the game, Ergincan Ersoy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hias Nüssli. Ergincan Ersoy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hatemi Selami during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Samsunspor got a freekick which was hit by Hatemi Selami.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Samuele Kunz to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cemal Bekdil in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hatemi Selami in the 60th minute of play. Anıl Ege Devlet kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Anıl Ege Devlet hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute, Samuele Kunz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Hatemi Selami came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuele Kunz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yavuzalp Sağanalp having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Rodrigo von Känel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hias Nüssli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cemal Bekdil in the 83rd minute of play. With a little luck, Samsunspor's Yavuzalp Sağanalp got control of the ball when Samuele Kunz tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 88 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Fridolin Neumeister. The audience was convinced that Samuele Kunz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yavuzalp Sağanalp was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Switzerland's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Samsunspor had won, even though Switzerland had held more of the ball.
