The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 20th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Wojtyna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 65thth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Brzesko City's Tanek Wojtyna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 70th minute of play forced FC Brzesko City's goalkeeper Tanek Wojtyna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Kajder came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Brzesko City defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tanek Wojtyna. The FC Brzesko City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tanek Wojtyna should have stopped the shot. The supporters of FC Brzesko City booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Clocheret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Domaracki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Belgium fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Brzesko City had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
