In the 3rd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dinu Bocu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pavlos Konstantakakis. Pavlos Konstantakakis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 22 minutes into the match, Gianni Balla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gianni Balla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Pavlos Konstantakakis made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Edward Vanderstraeten scored 3-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pavlos Konstantakakis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hamburg Fighters's Pavlos Konstantakakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Hamburg Fighters from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. A collision led to Hamburg Fighters getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Enrico Piccirilli hit a great ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Pavlos Konstantakakis in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pavlos Konstantakakis. The goal made the score 4-1. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pavlos Konstantakakis having to make a save. Pavlos Konstantakakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 44th minute. Enrico Piccirilli kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dinu Bocu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Laurens Vandamme hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gianni Balla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 62nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pavlos Konstantakakis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 69th minute of play forced Hamburg Fighters's goalkeeper Pavlos Konstantakakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinu Bocu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Casper Claes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavlos Konstantakakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gianni Balla in the 79th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pavlos Konstantakakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gianni Balla in the 85th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Guillaume Bonte got a free kick in the 87th minute. With an all-out effort, Hamburg Fighters's Casper Claes threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dinu Bocu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Enrico Piccirilli hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match.
