Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Emilio Argina took the kick off in the first half of the match. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Willi Tilmann's shot from short distance in the 2nd minute. Bernd Yuschni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 11th minute of play. Bernd Yuschni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hannover Reds's Bernd Yuschni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 19th minute of play. Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten managed to work through Hannover Reds's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Edward Vanderstraeten dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 25th minute, Hannover Reds's Emilio Argina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Hannover Reds were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Otfried Mutke took the corner. The corner ended in Otfried Mutke almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belgium's Casper Claes did a great save. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Willi Tilmann sent off a good shot on target. If Yves Dervaux had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Argina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernd Yuschni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 47th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Raoul Kreibisch hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Bernd Yuschni in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernd Yuschni saved Hannover Reds from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 66th minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernd Yuschni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Dervaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Hannover Reds getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Lars Voss hit a great ball. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emilio Argina in the 75th minute of play. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernd Yuschni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Willi Tilmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Yves Dervaux kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernd Yuschni. That made the score 2-1 in the 85 minute of play. Belgium's attentive Nigel Devos managed to snatch the ball when Raoul Kreibisch made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Bernd Yuschni in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jörn Hartwig kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
