The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvano Errapel in the 3rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind RÖK's goalkeeper Carlos Montenegro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Silvano Errapel let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 10th minute shot 1-0 at rihgt post. In the 18th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 22 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcinho Brasil was slow to take the kick. During this time RÖK's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Silvano Errapel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belgium's Casper Claes did a great save. Laurens Vandamme hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Carlos Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Dervaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Silvano Errapel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Casper Claes, 2-1. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Tjark Heerdt sent off a good shot on target. 46 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos Montenegro narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Silvano Errapel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. In the 57th minute of the match RÖK got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcinho Brasil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tjark Heerdt, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
