Seleykos Manoukarakis charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seleykos Manoukarakis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Seleykos Manoukarakis kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dinko Stankovic got free with Seleykos Sklavenitis in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 45 minutes in the game Silvije Santek did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Dinko Stankovic. Seleykos Sklavenitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damir Pongrac in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

Seleykos Sklavenitis came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Croatia's Toni Mauzer. Unione Sportiva's Odysseas Rousses managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Teo Gudelj in the 69 minute of the game. If Leonidas Maneates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unione Sportiva's attentive Odysseas Rousses managed to snatch the ball when Eduard Kostelac made a throw-in in the 78th minute of the game. In the 79th minute Toni Mauzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seleykos Sklavenitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seleykos Sklavenitis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 84th minute of the match.
