Henry Eklund hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 42nd minute. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Maxim Urderean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yu Feng Xi was the one to do the kick off. Olimpiu Hârlău took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Trăistaru kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The long shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute really tested Olimpiu Hârlău's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim Urderean, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61stth minute of the game Maxim Urderean who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rdth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carpathian Wolves's Olimpiu Hârlău was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Carpathian Wolves's Olimpiu Hârlău got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 70 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. A collision led to Carpathian Wolves getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Henry Eklund hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yu Feng Xi, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Olimpiu Hârlău in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 79 minutes into the match, Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Olimpiu Hârlău had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. In the 85th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Hârlău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yu Feng Xi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
