Leonhard Maier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Austria getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Leonhard Maier hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wasyl Bambas to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Guadalupe Seracoyz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabio Auer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Austria's Sandro Galishoff got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Auer made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Guadalupe Seracoyz sent off a good shot on target. Bogdan Miarka hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The supporters of Austria booed when Chłyt Materkindody was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolek Pysz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Chłyt Materkindody's Tolek Pysz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Auer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Guadalupe Seracoyz came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Chłyt Materkindody fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guadalupe Seracoyz couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Chłyt Materkindody's zone, Sandro Galishoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tolek Drab came out of the goal and Sandro Galishoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
