Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Jean Britton sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Jean Britton tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Jean Britton took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Britton got free with Tommy Kahn in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Germany's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Trey Easley was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport Lisboa e Benfica's players had a chance to rest. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Germany booed when Sport Lisboa e Benfica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Garland Noël didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Jean Britton tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Jean Britton took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. 35 minutes into the game, Jean Britton recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Jean Britton showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 39th minute Jean Britton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Trey Easley shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sport Lisboa e Benfica reached it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jean Britton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes of play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute Albin Holweck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herb Good saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Collin Grimm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Collin Grimm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute of the match Sport Lisboa e Benfica got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Trey Easley ran over to the corner to take the kick. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Herb Good made a huge save. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sport Lisboa e Benfica's goalie prevented a goal. After 90 minutes of play, Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Jean Britton made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Britton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Sport Lisboa e Benfica players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
