Paddy McNeish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo McNeish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Floodish FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan McDaniell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Theo McNeish in the 26th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paddy McNeish, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Keith Scotland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 33rd minute of play. Floodish FC's Keith Scotland proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Floodish FC from getting a goal against them. Theo McNeish kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blair McClure, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Keith Scotland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keith Scotland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Floodish FC's Keith Scotland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 61st minute of play. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes into the match, Floodish FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Keith Scotland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. 76 minutes into the match, Floodish FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Keith Scotland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80th minute Theo McNeish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keith Scotland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 88th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keith Scotland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Jeremy Mathie had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Floodish FC made a substitution. Ter Lucas replaced Jeremy Mathie.
