Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Antal Valentin got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Escuadrón Mercenario's Ramiro Messias got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Antal Valentin scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nando Toscano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th minute Takacs Tibor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nando Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Escuadrón Mercenario's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. 11 minutes into the match, Escuadrón Mercenario's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Nando Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Escuadrón Mercenario's Nando Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 23rd minute of play. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Nando Toscano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Nando Toscano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hegedus Henrik in the 33rd minute of the match. Nando Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 34th minute of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Hungary booed when Escuadrón Mercenario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Abastas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Amauri Campidelis's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
