Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Ove Söderström went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Malte Schiele didn't quite understand what happened when in the 27 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Frank Sachs was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Germany's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Gnesta Oilers's Patrick Eliasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Gnesta Oilers getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Faik Malgır hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Ove Söderström came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dave Mathy came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tommy Kahn could save by the left post. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alejo Veliz in the 67th minute. Gnesta Oilers made a substitution. Alfred Liljeström replaced Claes Thidén. Gnesta Oilers made a substitution. In the 89th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Eliasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfred Liljeström hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. When the match was over Gnesta Oilers could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Germany throughout the match.
