In the 5th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keith Scotland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes of play, Floodish FC's Theo McNeish made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Keith Scotland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Barreto in the 18th minute. The corner led Portugal's Felipe Barreto to fire away a dangerous shot which Keith Scotland despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blair McClure in the 20th minute of the match. With a little luck, Floodish FC's Keith Scotland got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Portugal's Viriato Moura made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keith Scotland was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keith Scotland having to interfere. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paddy McNeish in the 34th minute of play. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Bruno Bastos hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Floodish FC got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Gardner. Theo McNeish scored 2-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Floodish FC's Paddy McNeish. But to his dismay, Paddy McNeish quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Blair McClure got free with Wilson Amorim in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Floodish FC's Keith Scotland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 59th minute of play. Paddy McNeish struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Floodish FC. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jake Enrick in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabricio Andrade to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wilson Amorim was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Blair McClure capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Blair McClure really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. In the 78th minute, Vincent Gardner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
