Silviu Filip took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Elija, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 10 minutes into the game, Aquiles Telmo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Caetano da Silveira. Aquiles Telmo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Silviu Filip made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Elija in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match, Sansone Poso tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Caetano da Silveira saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 18 minutes into the game, Ciro Elija cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Silviu Filip was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Elija in the 24th minute of play forced America De Cali's goalkeeper Silviu Filip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in America De Cali's zone, João Paulo de Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silviu Filip came out of the goal and João Paulo de Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chelsicha's Caetano da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Telmo in the 29th minute of play. Silviu Filip showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Elija, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The supporters of America De Cali booed when Chelsicha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. D.J. Cam didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Aquiles Telmo in the 41st minute really tested Caetano da Silveira's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 47 minutes into the game, Ciro Elija cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Silviu Filip was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ciro Elija made the kick off in the second half. Ciro Elija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Silviu Filip having to interfere. Caetano da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sansone Poso, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. After having played for 61 minutes, Sansone Poso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. America De Cali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sansone Poso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Elija in the 65th minute of play forced America De Cali's goalkeeper Silviu Filip to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silviu Filip made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Ciro Elija sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Elija got free with Silviu Filip in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caetano da Silveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Telmo in the 69th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Luciano Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of America De Cali booed when Chelsicha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 79 minutes Chelsicha's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Aquiles Telmo who took care of the corner kick. Aloísio Schmidt hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After 94 played minutes America De Cali got a freekick which was hit by Cyryl Dziechciowski.

The Chelsicha players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
