Leonard Treppa started the match with the kick off. If Pitin Vallejo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Tirant lo Blanch's Kamal Pahlevi got control of the ball when Omar Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 18 minutes Tirant lo Blanch's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omar Toledo who took care of the corner kick. In the 21st minute, Leonard Treppa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tirant lo Blanch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of Spain booed when Tirant lo Blanch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Song Peng Han didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adria Bielsa in the 27th minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spain were awarded a corner in the 32th minute after Tirant lo Blanch's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Omar Toledo took the corner. David Aranda was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Kamal Pahlevi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 36th minute of the match. Kamal Pahlevi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adria Bielsa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th match minute, Spain was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jon Cubero to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Omar Toledo to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Spain booed when Tirant lo Blanch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Song Peng Han didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Adria Bielsa came free, but Kamal Pahlevi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Spain's corner Vicente Merino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Kamal Pahlevi quite easily take care of the ball. In the 60th minute Adria Bielsa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamal Pahlevi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Spain's Jonathan Criado got a free kick in the 61st minute. After 65 minutes of play, Tirant lo Blanch's Leonard Treppa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gabriel Ascaso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Spain made a substitution. Carles Cherro replaced Omar Toledo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adria Bielsa in the 69th minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carles Cherro scored 1-2 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kamal Pahlevi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Carles Cherro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kamal Pahlevi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Spain made a substitution. Sergio Ruiz replaced Adria Bielsa. Kamal Pahlevi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergio Ruiz's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Pitin Vallejo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tirant lo Blanch's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pitin Vallejo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, Tirant lo Blanch's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Ruiz came free, but Kamal Pahlevi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Sergio Ruiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kamal Pahlevi was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Spain players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
