Edward Vanderstraeten came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bernabe Benat could save by the left post. 13 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Wenerdahl came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernabe Benat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Wolverine A.C.【LBF】 getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Franco Bosch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolverine A.C.【LBF】's supporters rose to their feet, but Franco Bosch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Guillaume Bonte. The supporters of Wolverine A.C.【LBF】 booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lenny Clocheret didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Bosch who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Casper Claes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in Belgium fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Casper Claes, was totally fooled by Wolverine A.C.【LBF】's Froilan Mendiko, who 75 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Bernabe Benat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 79th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernabe Benat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franco Bosch in the 90th minute. Franco Boschs short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Casper Claes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Franco Bosch scored 3-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Casper Claes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Belgium's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
