Nikos Kladogennis made a great header on Elite™- FC Galácticos's corner, it was just that Portugal's Wilson Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Portugal booed when Elite™- FC Galácticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. The corner ended in Felipe Barreto almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Elite™- FC Galácticos's Jerônimo da Cunha did a great save. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atacan Rahim in the 44th minute of the match. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Atacan Rahim got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Paulo Seco during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Cosme Dighero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Gino Monteiro came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 81 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Silvério Vale sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. Maël Zapata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Wilson Amorim. Portugal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Inácio Cosme got a free kick in the 86th minute. Silvério Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Wilson Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Jerônimo da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 92nd minute of play. In the 94th minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Portugal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Portugal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
