In the 3rd minute Adhemar Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Ascaso came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Horácio Abraão. But to his dismay, Horácio Abraão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Abraão in the 11th minute of the match. Gabriel Ascaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horácio Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Joinville City - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Haji Sarap, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Haji Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adria Bielsa, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Horácio Abraão got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Spain were awarded a corner. Omar Toledo went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 34th minute, Jon Cubero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Haji Sarap. The goal made the score 1-1. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karsten Ulbak in the 42nd minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanildo Luis came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joinville City - FSCMZ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomé Neto in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Gabriel Ascaso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Gaucho in the 59th minute of the match. Haji Sarap didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Aranda went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 70 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldinho Gaucho came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haji Sarap showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haji Sarap made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Spain had played much better football throughout.
