In the 4th minute Hugon Brzakala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Gocław Wilga Warszawa getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Adam Byk hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 14th minute of play forced Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalkeeper Ivar Bjurström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hugon Brzakala who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Flavio Vittori when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugon Brzakala in the 17th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Bjurström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Maciej Matela got a free kick in the 26th minute. Ivar Bjurström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Bjurström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sigfrido Auletta struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ivar Bjurström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Italy. The throw-in from Wincenty Walczak in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. When Siricio Liotta came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Italy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siricio Liotta couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Eliseo Cutri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Ivar Bjurström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Gocław Wilga Warszawa getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Wincenty Walczak hit a great ball. In the 67th minute, Wincenty Walczak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 69th minute of play forced Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalkeeper Ivar Bjurström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maciej Matela hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goalkeeper Ivar Bjurström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adriano Curto. Adriano Curto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Bjurström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After 96 minutes of play, Italy's Adriano Curto made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ivar Bjurström was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gocław Wilga Warszawa.
