In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dal 3ello's Davi Dal Bello was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnout Reekers in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Taffarel having to interfere. In the 21st minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dal 3ello's Igor Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 23rd minute of play. A collision led to Dal 3ello getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Caique Dal Bello hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Dino Nogueira could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Arnout Reekers however easily saved by the left post. Dal 3ello were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Davi Dal Bello took the corner. Davi Dal Bello made a great header on Dal 3ello's corner, it was just that Netherlands's Arnout Reekers managed to reach the ball for a save. With his leg Arnout Reekers managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Dal 3ello's Natan Lamonica fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 45th minute, Belmiro Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dino Nogueira was the one to do the kick off. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Taffarel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Wim Wilmes put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Igor Taffarel. 72 minutes into the match, Dal 3ello's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Igor Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Gust Ennemans in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dal 3ello's Gabriel Abreu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Davi Dal Bello in the 80th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Dal Bello in the 83rd minute of the match. David Eikelkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Igor Taffarel made a huge save. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Dal Bello in the 87th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dal 3ello's Natan Dal Bello got a free kick in the 87th minute. After 91st play minutes Davi Dal Bello shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Arnout Reekers and just under the crossbar into goal. Igor Taffarel was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. The Dal 3ello fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
