After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yngve Göransson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albin Holweck during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. Staffan Ivarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. Olov Stolpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. 37 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Jelm came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by DIÖ IK's Rasmus Jelm. But to his dismay, Rasmus Jelm quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. The supporters of DIÖ IK booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

DIÖ IK's Olov Stolpe got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Göransson having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Otto Ekgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Staffan Ivarsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rasmus Jelm's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rasmus Jelm helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Germany booed when DIÖ IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rasmus Jelm didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 71st minute, Willy Stieler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yngve Göransson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 75th minute. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind DIÖ IK's goalkeeper Yngve Göransson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Otto Ekgren fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DIÖ IK's protests and gave Otto Ekgren a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Otto Ekgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 89 played minutes DIÖ IK got a freekick which was hit by Otto Ekgren. Albin Holweck struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Yngve Göransson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Nils-Åke Käller lost his temper 96 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 95 minutes into the game, one of DIÖ IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. DIÖ IK's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
