Viriato Moura ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Jorrin Briones tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Faustino Almeida in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Alexander Callens. Eskil Julin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jorrin Briones managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorrin Briones was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorrin Briones sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Graciano Coutinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ferenc Tököli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Felipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Viriato Moura hit a great ball.

Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorrin Briones in the 56th minute of play. Rapsodas Red Devils FC's Cristiano Salah was substituted for Jorrin Briones. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerrold Taranco in the 71st minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
