Germany's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Pascal Nouma scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Kahn, making the score, 1-0. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 21st minute. 24 minutes into the game, Aleksandr Lemesh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Adrian Salvidor put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. After 35 played minutes FORTALEZA got a freekick which was hit by Aleksandr Lemesh. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xorxe Viguera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Adrian Salvidor came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When Frank Sachs came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. After 55 played minutes FORTALEZA got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Mironov. After 63 minutes of play, FORTALEZA's Adrian Salvidor made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 69th minute, Frank Sachs made a precise shot to the right of Xorxe Viguera. FORTALEZA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Xorxe Viguera made a huge save. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 played minutes FORTALEZA got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Nouma. In the 84th match minute, FORTALEZA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksandr Lemesh to maneuver through the defense. FORTALEZA's Xorxe Viguera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save FORTALEZA from getting a goal against them. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes FORTALEZA got a freekick which was hit by Pascal Nouma. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FORTALEZA had won after a very even match.
