The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, FC Bruges's Luc Van Hinnendael got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Bruges's Antonio Eggers got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luc Van Hinnendael saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Ken Brogren made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Antal Valentin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luc Van Hinnendael having to make a save. Antal Valentin came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Luc Van Hinnendael could save by the left post. Luc Van Hinnendael didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 90th minute, which inside left pole to 3-2.
