Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) FC Bruges's Xavies Muñagorri started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommy Kahn was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Shen Shi Mo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Shen Shi Mo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Janik Vogt fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Janik Vogt a yellow card for diving instead. After 7 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Janik Vogt. The supporters of FC Bruges booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luc Van Hinnendael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 13th minute of play. After 14 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Xavies Muñagorri sent off a good shot on target. Philip Verhasselt got a throw-in 18 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bernardo Urtzi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavies Muñagorri in the 24th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Bruges were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Philip Verhasselt took the corner. FC Bruges's Philip Verhasselt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shen Shi Mo in the 27th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shen Shi Mo, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Shen Shi Mo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Carl Van Kamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xavies Muñagorri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shen Shi Mo in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. FC Bruges were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after Germany's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Philip Verhasselt took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Ken Brogren advanced and headed the ball into goal, 4-0 in the 49th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavies Muñagorri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 5-0 became the score in the 62nd minute when Shen Shi Mo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavies Muñagorri in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Shen Shi Mo came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shen Shi Mo in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Van Kamp in the 71st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Shen Shi Mo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. FC Bruges's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
