After 12 minutes BAŞBUĞ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Antal Valentin who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Major Barna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but BAŞBUĞ's Jens Huybreghts did a great save. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 23rd minute of play forced BAŞBUĞ's goalkeeper Jens Huybreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nilmar Marinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Jens Huybreghts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary.
