Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durmuş Gençoğlu in the 22nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Durmuş Gençoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. A collision led to EdirneSpor getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Adriano Silva hit a great ball. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gani Argün charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gani Argün the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Sari Kanarya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes kaya Bal rounded Germany's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Nazil Mürsel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 65th minute. When kaya Bal fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored EdirneSpor's protests and gave kaya Bal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th minute, kaya Bal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 71st minute of the match, kaya Bal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 74 minutes into the game, Melih Ongar threw the ball into play from the sideline. Germany's Chris Mergenthaler quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
