Caetano Moreira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Jerônimo da Cunha made a huge save. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Portugal's goalie and right to Luiz Paulo Seco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Portugal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Jerônimo da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerônimo da Cunha was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After 20 minutes, Felipe Barreto made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Jerônimo da Cunha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosme Dighero in the 23rd minute of play. Atacan Rahim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the game, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Atacan Rahim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Atacan Rahim got a free kick in the 38th minute. Atacan Rahim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. The Portugal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Elite™- FC Galácticos were winning 1-2.

In the 51st minute, Inácio Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 55 minutes, Atacan Rahim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Elite™- FC Galácticos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atacan Rahim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Barreto in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerônimo da Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 59th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Moreira scored 2-2 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jerônimo da Cunha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 67 minutes of play, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Atacan Rahim made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elite™- FC Galácticos's Gino Monteiro was substituted for Atacan Rahim. Elite™- FC Galácticos made a substitution. Décio Rola replaced Luiz Paulo Seco. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Silvério Vale was substituted for Nikos Kladogennis. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Daniel Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Pimentel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerônimo da Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 80th minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Miranda. In the 84th minute, Daniel Pimentel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerônimo da Cunha was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 86th minute, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Silvério Vale dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. Jerônimo da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipinho Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Jerônimo da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 94th minute of play. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Décio Rola tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Elite™- FC Galácticos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Elite™- FC Galácticos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
