The supporters of FC Bruges booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Janik Vogt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Urtzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Xavies Muñagorri made a kick off. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 0-5 became the score in the 71st minute when Shen Shi Mo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to FC Bruges getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Philip Verhasselt hit a great ball. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 77th minute of the match FC Bruges got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lasse Kroner ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Xavies Muñagorri sent off a good shot on target. Tommy Kahn was a little too slow when Shen Shi Mo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 0-6. Albin Holweck took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luc Van Hinnendael. Luc Van Hinnendael dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. In the 96th minute, Carl Van Kamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Bruges's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
