Fabio Santilli had in the 18thth minute some difficulties stopping Felipe Barreto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Fabio Santilli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Glanselius got free with Wilson Amorim in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Daniel Glanselius kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Felipe Barreto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabio Santilli was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. The supporters of KIA KAHA booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Fabio Santilli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Fabio Santilli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KIA KAHA made a substitution. Sataporn Snabl replaced Nicklas Smitt. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. KIA KAHA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Karl-Henry Roos in the 71st minute. The corner led KIA KAHA's Karl-Henry Roos to fire away a dangerous shot which Wilson Amorim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Fabio Santilli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rodolfo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felipinho Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Felipinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Felipinho Amorim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Santilli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 91 played minutes KIA KAHA got a freekick which was hit by Karl-Erik Lind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chatziantoniou Anagnostopoulos in the 93rd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Many of Portugal's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Portugal may have spent more time on the ball, but KIA KAHA were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
