In the 13thth minute of the game Gaston Peter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute ༒₲Ⱡ₳Đł₳₮ØⱤ༒ were awarded a corner. Gürel Onatsu went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Mauricio Mendiko managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind ༒₲Ⱡ₳Đł₳₮ØⱤ༒'s goalkeeper 郑超伟, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute, ༒₲Ⱡ₳Đł₳₮ØⱤ༒'s Gaston Peter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. 郑超伟 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 24th minute of play. 郑超伟 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Portugal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ༒₲Ⱡ₳Đł₳₮ØⱤ༒ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Viriato Moura got a free kick in the 51st minute. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaston Peter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ༒₲Ⱡ₳Đł₳₮ØⱤ༒ booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Miranda didn't get a good kick on the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Portugal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
