Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA. After 12 played minutes INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Scarpa. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezio Gøl got free with Wilson Amorim in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Wilson Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Ezio Gøl fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mai Chuan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Ezio Gøl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Ezio Gøl nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Rodolfo Miranda took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised João Carlos Lucas. João Carlos Lucas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ezio Gøl to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Nilmar de Souza nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Ezio Gøl. But to his dismay, Ezio Gøl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezio Gøl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Mai Chuan managed to get in a good position for a shot. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's supporters rose to their feet, but Mai Chuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezio Gøl, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 70 minutes Portugal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Orlando Loyola who took care of the corner kick. João Carlos Lucas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 73rd minute. When the match had gone on for 73 minutes, Bartolomeu Dias took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for João Carlos Lucas to make any attempt to save it. In the 76th minute, Daniel Pimentel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA made a substitution. Lucas Head Son replaced Ezio Gøl. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a free kick in the 77th minute. After 78 played minutes, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Orlando Loyola shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilson Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA reached it. Mai Chuan took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. 85 minutes into the game, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Lucas Head Son nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. If Lucas Head Son had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Head Son, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. João Carlos Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim in the 90th minute of play. Graciano Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the match Gerson Rezende sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wilson Amorim skillfully saved the ball. INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
