Ferdi Dekens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ferdi Dekens got free with Henrich Slany in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute Metod Mlynar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luuk Meppelink saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Metod Mlynar in the 42nd minute of play forced Zijdewind SC's goalkeeper Luuk Meppelink to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Oude Kamphuis got a throw-in 44 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gerard Kok.

Sipke Kroon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ondrej Biskup to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Oliver Holub managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slovakia's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Holub was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luuk Meppelink breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdi Dekens in the 85th minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Metod Mlynar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slovakia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Metod Mlynar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Zijdewind SC's Luuk Meppelink got control of the ball when Metod Mlynar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ferdi Dekens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
