Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hans Meijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ed Oosterveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernst Valx during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ernst Valx kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Defender Red Bull2.1's Ed Oosterveld proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Defender Red Bull2.1 from getting a goal against them. In the 14th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ed Oosterveld showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ed Oosterveld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elmar Korf charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elmar Korf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Elmar Korf hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ed Oosterveld tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Wim Wilmes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ed Oosterveld. That made the score 1-0 after 35 minutes of play. Ed Oosterveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 37th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 42 minutes, Hans Meijs put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans Meijs to make the kick off. Ed Oosterveld showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 52nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Defender Red Bull2.1's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ed Oosterveld came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Defender Red Bull2.1's goalkeeper Ed Oosterveld, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Ed Oosterveld was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 62nd minute, Vlad Ivan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
