Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. György Tóth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kálmán Gácsi in the 15th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Kálmán Gácsi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zalasárszeg OSE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kálmán Gácsi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Netherlands's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when András Újváry scored to the left of an out of position Arnout Reekers, making the score, 1-1. Lars Meesters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. György Tóth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but György Tóth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when András Újváry got free with Arnout Reekers in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. György Tóth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Zalasárszeg OSE's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by András Újváry in the 40th minute. In the 40th minute, Szilárd Tótfalusi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Zalasárszeg OSE getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. András Újváry hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Márió Kállai was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Zalasárszeg OSE's György Tóth got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without György Tóth having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 70 played minutes Zalasárszeg OSE got a freekick which was hit by András Újváry. György Tóth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 75th minute of play. Zalasárszeg OSE's Csaba Végvári was substituted for Szilárd Tótfalusi. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but György Tóth in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 85 minutes, György Tóth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Viktor Vass hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Márió Kállai in the 95th minute of play. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
