Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Washington Lira kicked off to start the match. Nico Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 7th minute of play. Gust Ennemans hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 15th minute of play forced DENVER™'s goalkeeper Nico Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. 18 minutes into the match, DENVER™'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Nico Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nico Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes DENVER™ got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Quirino. In the 36th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nico Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wim Wilmes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nico Furlan was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. After 40 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. David Eikelkamp's late challenge caught a DENVER™'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Eikelkamp helped the player get up and apologised. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Denver Ponta kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nico Furlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 68th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nico Furlan. Nico Furlan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. DENVER™ made a substitution. Délio Campidelis replaced Washington Lira. Nico Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 86 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Gust Ennemans hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Netherlands left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than DENVER™.
