Claudiu Creteanu hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 8th minute of play forced FC Luck's goalkeeper Roch Cieslak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Voinescu in the 9th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Roch Cieslak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. 15 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sever Patriciu. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 18th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Luck's Claudiu Arotăriței. After a defensive mix-up in Netherlands's zone, Narcis Voinescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal and Narcis Voinescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roch Cieslak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 25th minute. Wim Wilmes made a great header on Netherlands's corner, it was just that FC Luck's Roch Cieslak managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 28th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gust Ennemans to maneuver through the defense. Roch Cieslak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 37th minute of play. Narcis Voinescu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After 48 minutes Netherlands's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vaani Luca who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Vaani Luca got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Arnout Reekers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sever Patriciu to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Sever Patriciu came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Narcis Voinescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 59 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gust Ennemans. Roch Cieslak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 61st minute. After 62 played minutes FC Luck got a freekick which was hit by Sever Patriciu. Sever Patriciu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Radu Bârlă kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. FC Luck's Roch Cieslak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Luck from getting a goal against them. In the 66th minute, Vasile Târcă left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Luck fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 71st minute, Narcis Voinescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Patriciu in the 81st minute of play. In the 87th minute, Narcis Voinescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After 93 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Luck.
