In the 5th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo Feliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Atlético Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Raimundo Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Josemir Lujambio sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Raimundo Feliu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vitor Tejedor showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 12 minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Vázquez in the 15th minute of the match. Raimundo Feliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Raimundo Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Argentino's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Feliu came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Nofre in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vitor Tejedor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josemir Lujambio, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Raimundo Feliu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 52 minute of play. Atlético Argentino's Raimundo Feliu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Argentino from getting a goal against them. Raimundo Feliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. 65 minutes into the match, Atlético Argentino's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Raimundo Feliu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquín Guzmán in the 68th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raimundo Feliu. That made the score 2-3 after 69 minutes of play. Atlético Argentino's Raimundo Feliu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Argentino from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. With a little luck, Atlético Argentino's Raimundo Feliu got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th minute Luis Vázquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pascual Ledesma made a great header on Atlético Argentino's corner, it was just that Netherlands's Arnout Reekers managed to reach the ball for a save. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Raimundo Feliu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. After having played for 90 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
