Raimundo Feliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Atlético Argentino got a corner. Belgium's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eufemio Yabbarov ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Joaquín Guzmán advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 13th minute. After 20 minutes Atlético Argentino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Edward Vanderstraeten got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Raimundo Feliu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 22 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raimundo Feliu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 30 minutes Atlético Argentino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raimundo Feliu. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Vanderstraeten during the 72nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Belgium booed when Atlético Argentino was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eufemio Yabbarov didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75thth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Argentino's Raimundo Feliu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlético Argentino's goalkeeper Raimundo Feliu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Luis Vázquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Atlético Argentino fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Belgium's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
